Every bag booked through Stasher (formerly CityStasher) is automatically covered up to £1000 (or €1000 in Europe) against theft or damage when left at StashPoints.
How it Works
Please note that we only cover bags booked through Stasher. Make sure you do not pay cash directly to the StashPoint, because we will only be able to cover items booked through Stasher. Paying directly to StashPoints is a violation of our terms and conditions.
Please also be aware that we can only cover theft of luggage as a whole, not individual valuables within your bag. We always encourage travellers to lock their bags while travelling, especially when storing valuables. We provide free uniquely numbered luggage tags at our StashPoints to identify each bag.
Prohibited items
Please note, luggage containing any of the following items will be disqualified from our insurance:
- Explosives, fuel, hazardous or flammable materials
- Pesticides, toxic chemicals, pollutants, waste of any kind
- Firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs or other controlled substances
- Stolen goods, illegal or unlawful substance(s) or other contraband
- Perishable food items, spoiled food, living or deceased plants or animals, infested or otherwise contaminated items, damp or mouldy items
- Radioactive materials, items which emit fumes or other strong odours
- Cash, fine art and securities (e.g. share certificates)
We strongly advise you not to store travel documents, keys or valuable electronics (e.g. phones) that might be essential on your trip.
Who backs Stasher's cover
Stasher's insurance is provided by GUARDHOG , a global insurtech backed by world-class insurance partners including Hiscox, RSA, Canopius and Munich Re.
GUARDHOG is registered in England and Wales number 10254155, whose registered office is at 9 Mile Water, Stockbridge, SO20 8DR. Guard Hog Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
